             LISTENING STRATEGY

From what we are discussing about listening strategy, we got the conclusion that listening strategy had many different ways. According to Ihsan Pratama, he assumes that to understand about listening, we can use this ways. First, predict. Think about the ideas from the situation. Try to predict what the speakers will say. Second, guess (making inferences). When we are listening for something, the information often incomplete or unclear. Make your best guess at the parts you don’t understand. Third, focus. In listening, we have to focus with something that we listen for, or the main idea. Fourth, review. Reviewing helps you develop your memory. Think about what the meaning of what the speaker are said.

On the other hand, Leni Afrina have another way. First, stop talking. Don’t talk, listen. When somebody else is talking, just listen to what they are saying, do not interrupt, talk over them or finish their sentence for them. Stop, just listen when the other person has finished talking you may need to clarify to ensure you have received their massage accurately. Second, prepare yourself to listen. Relax. Focus on the speaker. Put other thing out of mind. The human mind is easily distracted by other thoughts-what’s for lunch, what time do I need to leave to catch my train, it is going to rain-try to put other thought out of mind and concentrate on the massages that are being communicated.

Herlina think that a good strategy for listening is provide feedback. Our personal assumptions can skew how we perceive a lecture, so deferring judgment and providing feedback can be very helpful in absorbing the correct information, or simply summarize what is being said in order to make sure you are understanding correctly. Don’t be afraid to point out a connection with previously learned material.

So, this is our conclusion :

Shouldn't we need to make our conclusion one by one based on what each member search and then at the end we add the conclusion from the group? I think you need to add the members conclusion.. but the mind mapping is so clear that's easy to understand. :)

Ihsan Pratama Says:

I`ve made the conclusion by the mind mapping.. that was our conclusion
but thanks any way

Ihsan Pratama Says:
