The Benefits of Studying Writing

Writing is an important course in
the academic life, especially in English department. It is usually started in
the second semester, and each students are required to take this course.
Furthermore, the level of this course is always increase in each semester. However,
writing becomes important for the university life. Writing activity has some
benefits.
First of all, through writing, we
can be a creative person. While we are writing an essay, we sue to explore an
idea or new ideas. However, to do that things are not easy as they seems.
Before we explore an idea, we should know what are the idea is about. After we know
what the idea is about, we have to develop the idea, and give support to make
it stronger. In addition, we can also think with different ways, it means we
can find a solution for any problems, because in writing we learn how to be a
creative person.
The other reason why we need to
study writing is to teach us to be a critical person. We cannot just write
whatever we want. We should serve a true information. So, before we write the
information on the paper, we have to analyze about that information. In
addition, the information that we give should be logic. It means our
information should be reasonable.
As a result, writing activity indirectly
have taught us how to be an educated person. However, by studying writing, we
can be a student who have ability to write an essay. In addition, by studying
writing, we can also solve a problem with a critical thinking.
